Regardless of the limited number of studies, it is extremely interesting to find that BA25 participats in clearly emotional/motivational executive functions, i.e., “evaluating emotional words”. BA25 seems to participate in processing of nociceptive information, also an emotional related function. Interestingly, BA25 is active during moral reasoning (a clearly executive function), in addition to other brain areas such as BA47 and BA6.
